This plant is a selection which forms a dense mound of handsome felted , silver leaves which have toothed lobes. It grows just 20 cm tall and spreads eventually to about 50 cm wide.
It is an easy care plant which doesn’t need much pruning, but will come away again quickly if you do need to prune it. It is hardy to minus 15 deg C. and can also withstand salt in coastal conditions.
The plant likes hot dry conditions, and looks good as a potted specimen.
Position them near to dark colours eg purple magenta, blue for dramatic effect or in an all white garden.

Sowing advice
Sow in spring or in autumn. Sow the seeds thinly on the surface of moist , well drained seed raising mix in pots or trays. Press lightly into the mix but do not cover the seeds as they need light to germinate. They will germinate in 14 days at about 20°C.
Transer the seedlings once they have their first true leaves, to individual 8 cm pots to grow on. Plant out 1 to 2 weeks after the last expected frosts. Space 25 to 38cm apart
