Description
This is a very old variety of snapdragon, which has all of the qualities that make for a good garden flower, and it has survived for 100 years to take its place as a great annual garden plant today. It has very beautiful soft dark burgundy black flowers which have a sheen on them like velvet. It is a hardy plant which will flower beautifully in spring for you , or if you have some heating can also be grown in winter. As a bonus it has lovely bronze foliage . It makes an excellent cut flower.
Sowing advice
Sow in early spring, summer or autumn. Sow in trays or pots
Sow onto the surface of moist seed raising mix . Don’t cover as they need light to germinate.
Germination takes 7-10 days at 15-20°C. Transplant when large enough.
